Let your children become young explorers at the Vendicari Nature Reserve!
A few kilometers away from the World Heritage Site of Noto, lies the Vendicari Nature Reserve, one of the island’s top natural treasures. Created in 1984, it encloses marshes, rocky coastlines and sand dunes, all of which host a rich ecosystem supporting a wide variety of flora and fauna.
The aim of this private tour is to offer children – and their parents – the opportunity to discover this unique reality, and foster an appreciation of natural and cultural treasures. Throughout the walk, children are engaged in stimulating activities: observing flamingo nests, spotting where Caretta caretta turtles lay their eggs, exploring Byzantine catacombs, collecting feathers, leaves, flowers and other such things for their adventure diary. In the process, they will learn to orient themselves, becoming true explorers indeed! When in need of a break -and if the weather permits it- they can enjoy a swim in the reserve’s crystal-clear waters.
Your local licensed guide and archaeologist will take your children into a fun experience that will inspire and empower them.
Tour duration: ca. 3-3.5h
