A native of Creete, Anna is a classical archaeologist who graduated from the University of Palermo. She specialized in the study of Minoan and Mycenaean culture in Sicily. Her interest in the study of the remains of material culture has always been on par with the study of historiography and with that of myths and legends. She is also passionate about cultural and eco-sustainable tourism, and part of her study and work has been to look at the impact that tourism has on archaeological sites and the local communities they are embedded in. Anna’s archaeological site of predilection is the Valley of Temples in Agrigento, perhaps because it is so reminiscent of her loved Greece!
