A native of Palermo, Giulia is an art historian and tour guide with a wealth of experience in the
fields of art and culture.
She holds a degree in History of Art from the University of Palermo and a Master’s in Art and
European Cultures from the University of Naples. She also earned a PhD in Medieval, Modern, and
Contemporary Art, focusing her thesis on Private Collections of Contemporary Art in Sicily.
After completing her studies, Giulia worked at the Künstlerhaus in Hamburg, Germany, before
returning to Palermo to contribute to the local art scene. In Palermo, she wrote about art for
newspapers and websites and worked as a curator at Gallery X3, organising photography
exhibitions. In 2017, she became an official tour guide, combining her passion for art, history, and
storytelling to offer unique experiences to her clients.
Giulia specialises in contemporary art, photography, music, and theatre. While she primarily leads
tours in Palermo, she is also an expert in the history and art of Gibellina, where she has
collaborated with the prestigious Fondazione Orestiadi, one of the most important cultural
institutions in southern Italy.
